Broken D(a)own Wing

I had a package that was to be delivered on Saturday 2019-05-04. I was phoned by their office at 09:23 and again at 09:24. I was outside and returned their call at 09:38. My friendly customer answered the phone not knowing why or who would have phoned me. I had to remind him they delivered parcels and he asked me for a tracking number. I gave it to him and he said he'll give it through to the driver and till what time will I be at home. I told him I was at home till 12:00. By 12:30 there was still no delivery and the offices was closed. Why phone if your intend was not to deliver the parcel anyway or were they looking for an excuse from me for them not to deliver. Next time I'll rather pay more for delivery and get quality service.
