a dream story

Good afternoon

I have to share an incredible story that happened to me last week. The star of this story is Rethabile Magosholo from Dawn Wing Couriers.

There was a dress. It was on a 50% sale at Trenery, and it looked like a dream on my daughter. I had to find it. There was one left in her size. It was in Lochlogan Mall Bloemfontein. I live in Joburg and do not know anyone in Bloem.

So I called Lochlogan Woolworths and spoke to Tlhomi (Manager of Trenery) who so so kindly agreed to give me a chance to try to make a plan, and he put it aside for a couple of hours. Which sale items usually are not allowed to be. I called myself the crazy lady from Joburg who was just going to try to make her daughter's dream come true.

My plan was to call a courier company and see if there was any chance I could pay the company to go buy the dress and then courier it up to me. Seeing as I had an account a couple of years ago with Dawn Wing, I started there. I called the 0861 number and started to explain my story. I was then transferred, he said, to someone who may be able to help me.

I told my whole story and then heard a pause in the woman's voice. "Well" she said " I guess I could go and get it for you during my lunch break" "What, are you in Bloemfontein? Are you close to the mall" I had no idea the 0861 number had brought me to Bloemfontein. And this incredibly kind lady Rethabile agreed to run out during her lunch break and buy me the dress. I transferred the money to her account. A few hours later,she called to tell me she had the dress and was about to courier it. I paid the courier fees. She was exhausted as she had run to the mall during her lunch break and had not had a chance to eat. I could not believe this was actually happening.

But it was all true as the dress arrived early the next morning. This entire incredible story had taken less than 24 hours. With Rethabiles' incredible generosity of spirit to help my daughter's dream come true as well as the speed of Dawn Wing, by Friday morning 9:30 the dress was in Joburg, in my hands.

This story sounds like a dream. That a woman who I did not know agreed to do such a huge favour for someone she had never met. She went beyond customer service excellence and showed such loyalty to her company. The fact that I had called her company and required assistance meant she was going to do whatever she could to help me.

This is a quality missing so much in the world today and I really hope your company recognises her worth and value as a very loyal employee. I am going to post this on Hello Peter as we need some great stories with fairytale ending
