Unsatisfactory Service

My water pipe started to leak and unfortunately it was on a Saturday. We phoned our insurance but they could only help on a Monday.

The leak was in the house so we were desperate. I called Darryl from Smart leak detectors whom I found online. We agreed he would come first thing on Sunday since it was already late for the Saturday. On Sunday after no show, I called him, at which point he promised the plumber was on his way to my house. He was at the movies with his kids that’s why he could not call. The whole day I waited and no one showed and I gave up calling. By the way he insisted I pay him the amount for weekend call out, upfront which I did R2250.

The next morning Monday his plumber showed but he had no clue it was a water leak detection. He was told to fix a burst pipe. Needless to say he left as he did not have the equipment for the job. In the end we got another company to do the job. I asked Darryl for my money back, after several reminders, messages and empty promises from him, I never got my money back from him. In short he stole from me and **** about coming to do the job. He is a ***** star in my view and not be in business.
