Baseless waranty

Good day, Please note that I bought sunglasses in August 2022. I have sent in the shades at the Menlyn store for repairs. The shades were taken in for repairs under warranty but I was told that they will not be able to fix the sunglasses as they do not have the right tools to fix them. Then I am told that they will not fix them, they are willing to let me get another pair at R1320. I bought the shades for R2090. Why would i buy shades that they happen to not have the right tools for? Why isn't my warranty covering these shades? so I now have to seek help elsewhere to fix them yet they are still under warranty. Kindly make it make sense.
