Bad reflection on the brand
Had a very unpleasant experience at DW Fourways Mall. We purchased a watch at Sandton store. I have 4 DWs and was so excited when they were established in SA. Wanted to change it for a different watch. When we went to change it it was 20% off if you buy 2 items. Choose a watch and strap and the difference was R512 to be returned to us. The sales person was very confused. Asked us to assist in opening display box as it’s heavy. She told me no less than 3 times how bad the sales are at Fourways and how quiet and boring the shop was. I was told they can not refund me the difference due to system set up. She called the manager who also refused to refund the balance and sent us back to Sandton. The manger was revoltingly rude, unhelpful and had no knowledge of the CPA or T&Cs stated on the receipt. Sales consultants Julia and Noni (might be incorrect) we’re unprofessionally dressed with old torn/bleach dyed jeans and old shirts. Shirts I wouldn’t even garden in. Left a sour taste. Returned the watch and didn’t even take anything else. Lost a customer. Given the poor sales at Fourways I can only assume it was not a “system problem” but not wanting a return on sales for the day. While I sympathize the store was hastily opened and seasonal staff possibly hired I feel DW should really train their staff and have a dress policy. Poor reflection on the Daniel Wellington brand internationally.
