What was supposed to be an amazing addition to our household has turned into an absolute nightmare thanks to Daniel. About R 23 000 worth of damage on what was supposed to be a brand new pool. This amount would have been a lot greater had we not sought advice from third parties who assisted and guided us in mitigating any further damage.

There were many warning signs but we opted to ignore them in good faith. Our pool was marbelited on 23 July 2021 with Cemcrete Charcoal, by 26 July 2021 the marbelite was peeling off in places. There was also a massive build up of white dust all over the pool and the water was extremely milky, which we raised with Daniel and he told us not to worry. 28 July 2021, our pool is no longer charcoal, it is light grey and rough patches all over. I call Cemcrete to come and have a look at the pool, they send someone out and I am advised that I have to re-marbelite the pool on 30 July. Daniel comes out and has a look and agrees that the pool has to redone which will commence on 09 August 2021, in the meantime we should switched off the pool pump and no longer do anything with the pool, he does not show up and ignores all calls.

10 August- after threatening legal action, he advises that he will no longer be marbeliting and i must just balance the water that he told us to switch off the pump for over a week ago. I proceeded to send him 3 quotes to repair the damage he caused and he then responded by stating that he would re-marbelite on 17 August, i refused and requested a meeting, on 17 August he assured me that he would fix his mistakes and re-marbelite. On 19 August we agreed that a bladder would be rented for 23 August and he would commence the repairs.

Once again he has decide to not show up and avoid all calls. We are left with no choice but to pursue legal action. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Daniel.
