Don't buy gymnastics equipment from Danie Jordaan, Centurion

Please be aware of a gymnastics equipment manufacturer called Danie Jordaan who advertises on Gumtree. We bought an uneven gymnastics bar from him in September 2019 for our daughter who was a level 5 gymnast at the time. After collection of the equipment, we tested it at our home and immediately realized that this rickety, substandard product was not going to work for her. We informed Danie within 24 hours and had the product back at his house within 48 hours. He said at the time that he would refund us when he managed to sell it, which was already cheeky if he values customer satisfaction. Be that as it may, it is now 18 months later and the man denies ever saying he would refund us for the gym bar and gym mat which we purchased with it. Haven't ever actually even had sight of that. R6 500 that this dishonest businessperson thinks belongs to him. We have tried unsuccessfully to engage him on the matter so it is now time for the public to be warned about this ********* who cares nothing for customers. We will be going to the small claims court.
