Customer experience review.
I took my trailer to have the bearings checked, and the right indicator light checked. I was quoted R1300, and when collecting, the bill had become R1805.50. A little surprised, I paid, hitched up and left only to find that a fault light was now appearing on my vehicle dashboard, which was not there before. I returned immediately to notify a workshop attendant who I questioned if he had bridged the neutral wires in the plug. He pointed out that the lights were working and would have nothing to do with any further discussion regarding a possible bridging error. He pointed out that this is common with other Mercedes Benz tow vehicles. Upon arriving home, I inspected the newly fitted plug, which I did not authorise, only to find that it had been wired incorrectly. I rectified the problem and, voila, no fault light on my vehicles dashboard and all the trailer lights working 100%. Being the good samaritan, I thought, let me call the manager to update him on my discovery, thinking it might benefit them with other Clients in the future... Oh my gosh, greeted with denial and "we do it this way." I eventually got my message of help across. It was not a very pleasant customer experience. I don't think I will be back.
