I made contact with Damien on Facebook Marketplace on Wednesday 24th July 2024. We arranged to conclude the sale on Saturday 27th July as Damien works night shifts for an IT Company. The console was already on when I arrived at Damien residence. The console had been formatted. I specifically asked if the console’s disk drive was working, to which Damien confirmed that the console was in perfect working order. Damien mentioned that he had given all his game disks to a friend.

Upon arriving home and turning the console on we discovered the following:

The disk drive was faulty – it did not work. All our existing disk games could not be used with this console. The console does not switch off using the consoles off button. I recall Damien not being able to switch the console off at the viweing, but thought noting of it at the time. There is something loose in the console with significant wear/ scratches on the rear/ portside of the console. We have a PS4 and a PS5 in our home - so fami**** with PlayStation systems.

In the moment of the sale it is difficult to check all the things that should be checked, as issues may not be immediately noticeable - also considering that you are in someone’s house.

Further WhatsApp communication with Damien has not resulted in remedy.

I’ll take this on the chin, but please exercise caution when dealing with Damien Wilson.
