Short-Courses
I am a student at Damelin and attend class on Saturdays
We are paying over R7000 for this course and the quality of lectures is appalling. We have written a test and the questions were asked on worked that we never covered. Two people have already dropped out due to pour lecturing and out of the 6 that started 4 remain. All 4 of us are really unhappy at how this course is going and also the quality of lectures.
We had an arrangement with our lecturer to start on the 12th of January and he never pitched for class. The following Saturday we only started at 9am and he didn't want to put the slides on the screen because there was only two of us and didn't see the need to.
Our class always start late and finish early, when we have trouble with our code he never knows how to fix it. We asked him for the results from our practical test we had to do and said someone else has it. We asked for a scope for our final test and he can't give it to us yet and we are suppose to finish the course in a weeks time.
I asked him out about code that he prepared on a slide for us- because it was totally wrong- and he answered that he copied and pasted it from the internet. I asked him to help me with an error and he says to copy and paste it on Notepad so that he can take it to someone who can help.
We never did any work from our textbooks but we are supposed to know many many chapters -that we never did- for our final exam.
Every month they just keep taking our money and I have been trying to stop it but no one seems to want to help.
This is unacceptable. I have not learnt a thing and now we are expected to learn work that we have never done and write a test on work that is all self study.
Why then bother to have a lecturer in the first place? We have complained before but apparently the problem is with us????
I want my money bac****!!!
