Damelin Refund for a deceased

To Damelin students and/or guardians I would like to share my delima to all Damelin parents and students. My son was studying with Damelin,a branch in Centurion,Pretoria last year doing civil engineering. In December last year on the 12th l registered him for this year,l paid R1000 registration fee and a deposit of R8000.their school calendar was starting on the 18 of February this year. Unfortunately my son passed on on the 17th of February before he started with his school year. I reported my son's sudden death at the institution and they wanted me to submit some docs including his death certificate so that they can refund me of which l did by March. I was told the refund would be done in months,l waited....

after 3months l called Damelin,the accounted told me they can't help me they don't do refunds and gave me a number to call,in Cape town,their head office.my first call was in July then l was told my refund would be in by the 2nd of Aug...l waited...

after that given date l called then the reprentetive asked for my contacts and email address and promised to come back to me....nothing was done!

l had to make several follow up calls every time a different person answered my call,everytime someone,asked for my email address,everytime someone was sorry,everytime someone will come back to until l was given Zinhle's contacts whom they said she deals with refunds...she said she would put that as priority...the next time l called her she said my refund would definitely be in on the 11th of October .she said if its not in by then,she'll will refer me to the director or something...l waited....

Nothing,till today,its almost December..nothing. What hurts me most is that am still grieving my son who l tragically lost,secondly,he didn't quit,he is dead....thirdly if we have to pay,we don't give them any excuses,further more we are not referred to all these departments if they want our money ,they just take our money... if u don't pay,your child simply doesn't sit for any paper,end of story. Now...as l stand,l have accepted l have lost that damn R8000 refund after losing my son that l dearly treasured and lost. So to all Damelin parents,guardians and students,be warned,students plz don't quit,parents,it your child quilts or something like in my painful case happens,be assured you not gonna be listened by anyone from Damelin. Everyone you talk to will either come back to u, feel sorry,ask for contacts,ask for your e-mail address, have noway to help you,refer you to the right department,give you vain promises and nothing more....

l can't say be careful 'coz some of these things come naturally and are beyond our control,but know that if anything like this befalls you ,you are on your own...These institutions are just after our money,not what they preach to us,they don't care about us our children or our concerns.Now l have given up making any follow up for my refund...they *****ing from us.....!
