Damelin not responding to cancellation of enrolment request.

After enrolling for amended senior certificate course at Damelin, the department of education informed us that it is not possible at this stage to register to write the exam and gave us advice what to do in order to get to the stage where registration would be possible. We notified Damelin already on 30 January 2023 via email to cancel the enrollment, and again on 27 February 2023. Damelin did not respond or acknowledge any correspondence. We emailed again on 7 March 2023 (after noticing that a debit order for Damelin still went down end of February) We have also attempted to contact them telephonically, without success. It would seem that Damelin is quick to accept enrolment, but very reluctant to cancel same enrolment if circumstances beyond the student's control prevent them from completing a course. (Note the student did not attend any online classes, did not buy any study material, only enrolled, before being notified by DBE that he would not be able to register to write the exam) The preferred outcome would be for Damelin to contact us urgently regarding this matter, as various attempts were made to contact Damelin to resolve this issue without any response, and to cancel the enrollment with immediate effect, as already requested on 30 January 2023
