A terrible Service at Damelin Menlyn

On the 13 July 2018,i went to Damelin College Menlyn to request for a transcript of my results,on my arrival I was told to go to finance and pay R110.00 in order them to be able to print the transcript for me.The money was paid and I was told that I will get a feedback on or before the 18 July 2018.On the 16 July 2018. I got an email from Damelin which reads as follows : We sincerely regret and apologise that we are unable to assist you with the information provided to date, and fully understand any frustration resulting from this. We would like to assure you that it is not our intention to put any learner at a disadvantage. The Company was purchased by the current owners in 2008, and it has been found that the previous owners did not pass on certain records to us. On investigation, it can be concluded that your records form part of this, and we are therefore unable to reissue your qualifications without following the below prescribed process, which would allow us to re-issue your qualification for you. The situation is a legacy issue relating to the previous owners. When the issue was identified, the necessary steps were taken to ensure that we could assist those requiring reissues but this can only be facilitated if we are provided with enough information to substantiate any claims. Following our takeover of the business, the matter of irretrievable learner records has been addressed both internally and with the regulatory bodies. The affidavit process was approved by our board, and put in place after careful consideration and consultation, in the absence of a national policy covering this matter. As you will appreciate, under the circumstances strict control measures have to be in place to ensure the validity of those reissues in the case of irretrievable learner records. This includes the requirement for substantiating evidence that would validate your claim. No deviation from this process can be entertained, and without this, we are unable to reissue any qualification. On top on this email there was a long list of things that I needed to send to them include an affidavit, Graduation or class photos , Damelin invoice or statements, receipts, copy of your qualification or statement of results,Letters from Damelin, proof of bank statements reflecting Damelin pay ,just to name few things. I am so disappointed that a trusted Brand like Damelin will come up with so many stories just to re-print a transcript.
