Disgusting "service"
Disgusting service without an apology from Dals management.
I decided to fix my car through my insurance and had to make a choice on which repairer to use. I decided to go with Dals with whom I had previously had good service. I had previously had an insurance claim worth R140 000 to fix my car done through them and some other work prior to that since they are conveniently located and in my mind a professional organisation.
My bonnet was the only visible exterior damage that I was hoping to sort out. The car was taken in for assessment which included photos uploaded to be assessed as well as a quote for the work to be completed. I received the car back after 6 days only to find that the bonnet had not been fixed.
I called the insurer who spoke to the assessor who reported that the bonnet was not quoted for. I had arranged a rental vehicle for 2 weeks but this expired after the first round. I was really disappointed with the fact that no one at Dals had noticed this oversight and that I would now be inconvenienced by taking in the car again. I spoke to the client adviser who apologized and promised that they would arrange a courtesy car from them because they had disappointed me. I took the car in but got no courtesy car. After calling them to check they said that I could fetch my car and then wait until they get a car available. If this was done before I brought the car in I could have waited. The manager of the branch, Malcolm, called to say that the car was ready for collection and that the R2000 was due for the additioanl work as I could only send my son to fetch the car. I said that I could and EFT payment but he said that this would incur an additional 15%.
I will not recommend them for service to anyone who assumes this is the case just because they are well known. Maybe this is why they are not concerned to see to the customers needs only their own.
