R3500.00 deducted from deposit for painting

<p>I gave notice to move from renting at Flemming Court in Wynberg. When i left an inspection was done and the supervisor David said everything was in order but the flat only needed a painting job and nothing else. I then waited the 21 working days for my deposit only to find that Daleglen had deducted a R3500.00 for wear and tear and for the painting. No where in our contract does it say that we will be charged or held liable for the painting in the flat. I triegd calling Mrs. Fern Night on numerous accasions and when i eventually got hold of her she was very un -cooporative. However she told me that the supervisor David was on leave and that i just have to wait till he comes back on the 15 Jan 2017. I sent an email requesting we meet as soon as he comes back but got no reply. After calling Mrs, Knight again she told me she cant do anything about the matter. I then sent am email to request the invoice of the painting job done but she again refuses to make any contact with me and to this day have not responded or rep**** to me. This is disgusting and unecceptable. All i want is to know why i have to pay R3500.00 for the flat to be repainted and to see the proof by means of the invoice for the people who did the paint job. I forsee that Daleglen will just write an invoice and put in a convenient date and once again get away with robbing people.
