World Wide Factory Recall Not Honoured by Chrysler

I am extremely loyal to the Jeep brand but due to Chrysler South Africa I think this is starting to change. During traffic I experience a complete shutdown of my vehicle blocking the road and causing all sorts of problems. I had to arrange for my vehicle to be loaded onto a flat bed and delivered to Maritime Motors (Chrysler Approved Dealer). On inspecting my vehicle the dealer informed me that my alternator had given up and that I would need to purchase a new unit. I then asked as to why my vehicle was never recalled as Chrysler World Wide issued an Important World Wide Safety Recall (P60/NHTSA 14V-634) for this exact problem. The dealer said he would check and come back to me. I received a call from the dealer and he said that my vehicle was one which fell under the world wide safety recall and that the repair would be for Chryslers account. Great News was short lived as I received another call from the dealer a little while later to inform me that the claim was REJECTED by Chrysler South Africa. How can Chrysler South Africa REJECT an important World Wide SAFETY recall is beyond me. I have since written to Chrysler Group LLC and wait for a response.
