Beware of Unregistered NPO

Considering that Sanmarie Jacobsz doesn't just delete any post asking a her a question, but proceeds to ban someone trying to donate from her page, I have no choice but to leave my review of the suspicious nature of her business here.

Some history, for those interested - as a business owner, we set aside some money each year to support various charities in need, and DRSA was one of our chosen charities, listed to receive R25,000. Upon doing our due diligence, however, we picked up a few bugs - the company is not registered as an NPO as she so claims, and the while business registration number shown on their documentation does exist in the company name, it reflects on the CIPC database as being in a de-registration process due non-compliance of returns-submission & payment.

Initially thinking there may be a glitch, or that the entity may be registered under a different name, I posted my question as such, clearly stating that I wanted to make a donation - asking for her (or her fellow directors) to please clarify so I can make payment. I careful to in no way to be rude, or accusatory, merely asking for clarification. My question was never answered. Instead, I my comments were deleted, and I was unceremoniously banned from her page, like so many others who post a question that she thinks sheds light on her unsavoury business practices.

What really made me see red, was when my wife alerted me last night that the page owner was shaking her begging bowl to page members again, pleading poverty, claiming that she had several vet's bills to pay, and on top of this has no money for check-ups, vaccinations and sterilizations. Ironic, considering that she just said a gigantic F-YOU to a R25,000 donation.

Perhaps it's time you pulled your head out of your own @ss, Sanmarie Jacobs. You're doing these innocent dogs a massive disservice with your attitude towards both prospective adoptive parents, and prospective donors. Your my-way-or-the-high-way attitude stinks, and you need to start realising that you're doing way more harm than good to these poor dogs. You're running your own business into the ground. Catch a wake-up - admit and apologise for your own shortcomings before spewing hatred on your page - even your biggest fans have started complaining about your negativity.
