******* into a garnishee order

I literally feel like I'm jailed financially. Going to these people was my biggest mistake in life. I dealt with Thandi who runs the Durban branch and I clearly stated I wanted to be put under debt review as I had been unemployed for more than a year and I fell behind in paying my accounts. I asked if I'll ever be able to withdraw from this should I feel fit enough to start paying the creditors directly on my own and she said yes I would. I was taken to court and made to sign something that bindend me with them and because of little knowledge I had I ddnt suspect anything until I realized that thy had actually issued a garnishee order against me and not debt review as we had discussed with Thandi. The money was deducted from my salary every month without fail until 1 day I requested for a statement from them and I felt fit to start paying the creditors by myself they told me I needed to get a lawyer to represent in order to do that. I am very annoyed and indestress financially.

I have been working for 3 years. A good job but I still can't buy my family a decent home because of this order against my name whn I could have just settled the payment, cleared my name and started on a clean slate. My debts amounted to +-R20000 and I have been paying 700 Rands every month since November 2018.if I had known I would have negotiated with my creditors and paid them by myself. I'd be done paying by now.

I feel like I am in prison financially and I was ******* by Thandi Nyawo! Good for her cos she has control over her life and finances while I don't!!! I regret ever going to them!
