No service rendered, no refund given

Hired catering service for my Daughter’s Confirmation on 6 February 2023.All amounts paid and settled before the day, as owner requested payments ,due to struggling with clients to pay once service rendered.On the day,got a whatsapp message that they will no longer be coming.The chef’s were apparently hijacked and held at gunpoint.I was promised a refund but until this very day am not even able to contact them.Really disappointing and financially draining as we had to get other food on the day.
