Unhappy Customer
I phoned Chantel regarding a mirror that was broken and also a bedside cupboard damaged during the move last Tuesday. She has told me that she will get a quote from the insurance company and get back to me, but she never does. I have had to phone her three times. Today she told me that I have to pay extra, as there were a few more boxes than expected. I told her that I will not pay another cent.
The removal van was 4 hours late, we were told they would be there at around 10. When they did not arrive, we phoned and were told that there was a delay, and they would be there at 11:30. They eventually arrived at 2pm!
There were only 2 men doing the moving which is totally unacceptable for a household full of furniture. It took them until nearly 10pm to offload everything. Also, we discovered a few days later that there were a few small items missing. I definitely will not use them again. Chantel threatened to sue me if I post anything bad about her company.
We offered to have the mirror repaired, however client rejected the offer when being advised that we will have to bill her for the extra goods that was loaded aswell as the fact that we were not informed that the truck cannot enter the complex at the delivery point.
The inventory agreed and signed between client and D and F Removals was acceptable for 2 men, the extra goods and the fact that they had to be carried from the gate, delayed the offloading process automatically.
Furthermore, client was quoted on a share load, our terms and conditions are clear that the time and date may change. Client was informed inadvance that collection time will be later than scheduled.
Small items that is missing according to client does not refllect on our inventory.
We furthermore confirm that we handed matter to our attorneys who has commenced with legal proceedings on behalf of D and F Removals.
