Paid 80% Deposit – Solar Installation Left Incomplete and Company Liquidated During Dispute

We had a very disappointing experience with Cz Electrical and Solar regarding a solar installation. We paid an 80% deposit upfront for the equipment and installation. Unfortunately, not all of the solar equipment that was paid for was delivered, and the installation work was left incomplete. Because the project was not finished, we had to pay out of our own pocket to purchase the remaining equipment and complete the work that was originally agreed upon. While we were in the process of taking legal action, the company was voluntarily liquidated. After this voluntary liquidation, a new business was registered. Since sharing our experience, several other people have contacted us stating that they also paid large deposits (in some cases around 80%) and did not receive the services or equipment promised. Our experience involved ongoing delays and repeated explanations as to why the work could not be completed. We hope by sharing this experience that others will be cautious, ensure proper contracts are in place, and avoid paying large deposits without sufficient protection.
