CV Joint Centre Ballito - dishonest workmanship

Word of advice, BEWARE of "CV Joint Centre Ballito" and save your money! PLEASE SHARE to save others in Durban, Ballito from such inconveniences and loss of hard earned money.

They do not care about your car or your safety. The owner, Ricardo was informed that i was going to review him and he did not seem to care or to even try and rectify his negligent workmanship.

I took my car to *Cv joint centre ballito* to do a complete steering rack overhaul and to replace rack-ends, tie rod ends, bushes, shock tops and back brake-pads.

2 weeks of back and forth and I ended up receiving the car in a worse than before condition. Eventually I just wanted to cut off all business with them as I'd get the car back with a different problem every time.

Problem #1: They put in old used brake pads on the one wheel. As I inquired as to why the one side is new and the other side is old - Ricardo said to me that my disc was warped so they had to skim the brake pad. I told him that you skim the disc then and not the pad, he then said that you sc**** the pad on the floor to skim the pad to get it to fit lol.

Problem #2: They installed the incorrect rack ends which scratched the inside of my magz if I locked my steering wheel to either side. This throws out your wheel balancing and damaged my limited edition magz. After a week of blaming Midas for providing them with incorrect parts because they were too lazy to take a sample to Midas they eventually replaced my rack ends but I am left with the damage.

Problem #3: The car is literally not level anymore and is sitting lower on the right side.

Problem #4: I paid for both shock top replacements and they only replaced the one side. Ricardo argued this case even though he foolishly wrote RHS shock top replaced on the invoice.

Problem #5: There is now more play on the steering wheel.

Problem #6: My ABS dash light icon has also come on now.

If they could not even complete a simple task in a honest manor such as replacing brake-pads, I highly doubt they ever took out the steering rack for overhauling at all. They said it takes 3 hours to take out, 2 hours for labour and 3 hours to put it back. So yah.

This is a very dishonest business and they do not care to do you in as long as they can make a quick buck.
