Ridiculous settlement and the vehicle was never evaluated

My husband was involved in an accident and the third party claim was put through. I dealt with Nomathemba who requested documents which I sent on the 8th of October. I asked her to confirm receipt but had to call back on the 13th to ask how long it will take for her to respond. Only to be told that she works from home and i must wait for a response the following week as she works one week in and one week out. Eventually i received a response from Bheki Sithole requesting documents that were already sent in a pack together with the other documents. The quote that was submitted from 3 panel beaters was for over R20k and their assessor says the repairs should come to R9,000 and CLC will only pay 60% of the assessed amount. When i contacted Bheki, he clearly stated that if I'm not happy with the amount, then i should take it up with the attorneys and go the legal route. Is this how you rob people, by paying a ridiculous amount just because its easier to say go the legal route, knowing very well that the legal route costs money and one will eventually accept the ridiculous offer that's put on the table?? The person who is liable for the repairs, clearly stated that it was her fault and she caused the accident but when its time to pay, we must go the legal route. I have contacted the dealership and the one of the parts is over R3000 yet the assessor says R600 for the same part. Where do you get these assessors who don't even come out to inspect the vehicle and do a proper assessment, but just submit a report that they've assessed the vehicle. The settlement amount doesn't cover the parts, let alone the labour costs to replace, repair and paint the car. Its so easy for Bheki to say we must go the legal route because they know that their settlement amounts are next to nothing. I wonder if the superiors know how their employees treat clients.
