Not returning old tyres after new set been fitted

At Custom Wheel and Tyre on the morning of 17th July 2015, a new set of tires has been fitted and paid for.<br> However the establishment then refused to return the old tires saying that a new government ruling states that all old tires cannot be returned and the tire manufactures needs the old tires back.<br> <br> I spoke to REDISA (Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa ) and was advised that there is no such ruling in place where your old tires are kept. It is your property and you can do with it as you please. The contact center at REDISA advised me that they will even speak to the dealership to state that there is no such thing. <br> <br> However the dealership is still adamant up to this point that this is a new ruling. I spoke to other tyre dealerships such as Kwikfit, Superquick and even Tyger Wheel and Tyre and they confirmed there is no ruling in place of such nature.<br> <br> All the big franchise outlets have confirmed.
