Pathetic service

I had to give one star to continue with the review,but really didn't even want to give 1.

The owner of this business promised me that they can print, bind and deliver my 250 children's book order in 7 days. He wanted the full amount of R13 000 before he even started. On the 14th of April he received my order and the payment. After 7 days the setup was only done, he has never told me beforehand which program my designs need to be in and that he is copying all my designs into his program. He then printed for 7 days and notified me his printers broke and he is subcontracting the print job to another company that will be finishing it In 7 days, he kept contact with them and notified me of the progress only when he was prompted. After another 7 days, that company only printed 50 pages of the 5000 total. Michael,the owner of New Age Signs & printing was too scared to tell the owner of the sublet company to work as fast, and after a month, I haven't received one printed page.

I have begged, pleaded, talked nicely,threatened with a bad review but nothing helped. when I was completely at my wit's end and willing to drop the entire order and requested my money back, Michael went to the other company again and fetched all the artwork and paper, promising once again that he will now really put effort in, utilising 3 other friends/companies to help him to finish and deliver the books in the next three days, delivering on Wednesday 19th May. Wednesday came and went. Once again,he ****, once again, he didn't deliver.

It is now Friday, 21 May, in the evening. 5 weeks later, not one book delivered.

I have never been **** to by somebody this much. Every time I contacted the owner, he had another excuse. More promises, more lies, and nothing delivered.

Photos was sent to me of finished pages and it is incredibly dark, the blues an greens are all the same shade of dark blue and dark green, when I asked him about that, to print lighter and change the settings on his computer,he told me that he set his printer on the lightest setting and it can't be changed. I must now just accept whatever he gives me, even if the quality is bad, because he didn't even afford me the option to pay on delivery when I am happy, I am out of money and out of time.
