Customs clearance delay is hell

my package at customs for clearance, i called was spoke to a consultant at the import desk ask me to hold for 11mins was there n she didn't return, called again same issues, they hold your package without telling you the reasons or what they needs or what went wrong, so frustrating as its my personal effect and not prohibited goods.
