365 Days Later - and no completion

So, following from my previous review, I note that it is now exactly one full year since I paid my deposit (which was to secure the materials for my kitchen), and it is still not complete. Per previous, I had expected it to be completed by End Feb 2022 latest - which was being extremely generous indeed.

I was contacted by Nico Vermaak, the owner of this business, in (roughly) August - some months after I posted the previous review. His opening statement was not an apology for taking my money and not completing the work, but rather "Thanks for putting me on Hello Peter" - and that without the courtesy of "Hello".

Since that time, and because I am both patient and reasonable - albeit utterly gullible and clearly stupid - it has been a roller coaster of promises that have not come to pass, with innumerable excuses about other customers being utterly unreasonable and no-one ever paying what they're due to pay, and having to borrow money from friends and family, and having to do extra work that was not quoted for thus costing extra money that cannot be recouped, and the 'guy doing the cutting' having closed up shop without warning in early December and only being back in January, and not finding funds to buy the balance of my material, all the while ignoring that I have paid not only the deposit, but also the second amount which was to bring the project to final installation before I pay the final balance (roughly 10% or something).

No doubt, if any had read the previous submission and asked about it, I would've been passed of as some disgruntled customer who was utterly unreasonable but that the job had indeed been finished. IT. HAS. NOT - As of 16.12.2022.

I have agonized over putting my number on this submission such that any who are interested can contact me directly so that I can give them a first hand account of not only what to expect, but also go into some detail about the workmanship should they be interested. I've decided against it, rather committing that should Nico Vermaak finish my kitchen I will remove / revise this post - which is what he has specifically requested I do.

Thus, should you be reading this, know that he never finished the job and I am not just some miserable swine who is out to ruin the livelihood of some hard-done-by individual just trying to eek out a living.

If you hear his name, I suggest you run. If he is suggested to you by anyone, then be assured that that person harbours you ill-intent. Learn from a fools mistake - pay the extra money and get a professional to do the work - do not be swayed by a good price
