Staff Member Pushy and Break Customers Down

In March this year, I joined Curves in Brackenhurst Alberton. From the get go, one of the staff members that assist with the exercise programs (morning sessions), made me feel uncomfortable by firstly being pushy when it came to signing a contract to join (which I did) , and then for 3 days thereafter, continuing to treat me in the same manner whiles showing me how to use the exercise equipment. Never Building Up, but always criticizing and breaking a person down always telling you that you dont use the equipment correctly. Over and above, every day, this lady would ask, do you have any friends and family that I can call. I gave her details of people I know, and then she would call them and be pushy as well to become a member. It really just made me think - she could not give me good service, or treat proper, but wanted new business for the company. I could not face going back there after the 3rd day, as I did not want to see or deal with this lady. Another staff member called me after 3 days missing, to find out where I was. I then had a heart to heart with her, and told her how her colleague treated me. The owner called me the next day, to discuss the matter. The owner could not believe her ears when I told her that this particular staff member had treated me this way. And said that she would speak to her. And that she had never received a complaint like this before about this person. I advised the owner that I no longer want to be a member, and cancelled verbally, and thereafter with an email to her in writing. I received a return mail from the owner, advising that I will have to pay a fine. I ended up paying R2593.48 for BAD service, and 3 days of exercise. To confirm that I was not over sensitive about the way this lady made me feel , I bumped into a friends sister in law 2 months ago, and she also joined the same Curves branch a year ago, and received the same treatment from the same lady!!! She was just lucky, she never signed a debit order form and could cancel and not have any money ****** from her for services not rendered. What a coincidence.
