Curves is money hungry and rude

I joined Curves Gym in July 2016, I fell pregnant a month after that and one of their terms and conditions says that you can pause your membership if you fall pregnant. I made the mistake of not submitting a letter confirming my pregnancy to them. So I continued paying the membership in the meantime. I ran through some financial difficulties and did not make payments for 2 months, they called me in January 2017 to let me know that I skipped some months, I agreed to pay as soon as my financial situation changes and asked them to in the meantime pause my membership because I am pregnant. A few months later they called me and told me that I now owe them R14 000, I asked how did they arrive to that amount and they couldn't not give me a satisfactory answer. Instead they handed my account over to Vericred. I told Vericred that I will not pay until I get an explanation of how they arrived at that amount. Later the amount was revised to R8771.52, still I asked for an explanation and I could not get it, instead the guy from Vericred that I spoke to, his name is Brian became very rude and laughed at me for not paying my accounts and accused me of not even reading my contract. when I responded to his rudeness with rudeness of my own he told me that he is going to blacklist me and I will have to appear in court. I asked him to sent me a copy of my contract and he laughed at me.

I will never set foot at Curves ever again and I am shocked and appalled by their money hungry ways and poor customer service. I will tell all my friends never to set foot at Curves.
