Shocking accounts management

For all the time my children attended Curro Herm**** it was a struggle getting them to send up to date accounts or correct billing - I'm not apparently the only parent. They (the accounts department) have a very unfriendly way of dealing with parents. After my daughter finished school, and with no following invoice or statement to indicate that there were still fees outstanding, they simply handed it over to a legal firm for collection. Following up, they refused to provide proof of sending me a statement.

So on top of them charging me interest on the outstanding fees, the legal fees were another R1600, for the legal firm, whom also did not even have the courtesy of contacting me to request a payment. I have not been presented with a breakdown of what the legal fees were actually for.

Read the terms and conditions carefully. They also charge for certain services that are apparently required in the interest of the learners, but not used or useable. They should be signing a service level agreement as to what services you are paying for.

Be cautious when interacting with Curro, they seem to have ruthless business principles.

So after engaging with ********** requesting their suggestion of resolution, nothing was received. Current position is their legal firm is awaiting payment of legal fees. All of these fees should not have been charged if a simple telephone was made. Curro seems to manage a very vindictive business principle and refused to continue communication once they "hand over" your account. They have provided no proof of sending the accounts statement or telephonic communication.

Good day. This has been my experience to date, and the comments being only of my view with the attempt of trying to resolve the matter amicably, to which i have had no responce, except an email saying that Curro cannot assist me as the account was handed over. I have made no attempt to cyber-bully, suggest hate speech or make mention of derogatory language or misrepresentation. This should not be construed as comments about the brand as a whole, which I highly respect as an educational institution. My view reflects my experience of the system processes that were followed in getting an account paid. Upon recieving an SMS that fees were outstanding, I had to get the legal firm to send a statement, The account was immediately paid. No detail has been forthcoming as to why Curro handed over the account to a legal firm without contacting me directly. My experience should provide some information for discussion internally, so that system processes may be improved.
