Not recommend for foundation phase

After working at this school as a student teacher and a full time experienced teacher abroad, I learnt that the environment at Westbrook Curro in PE SA is does not match the school’s websites description of what learners are exposed to during their time at the schooling career. To begin with I worked with teachers without a qualification and lacking teaching experience and thats a major problem to me and parents. Teachers in the foundation phase particularly grade 1 and 2 are not passionate about teaching and very concerned with petty discussion’s of gossip amongst staff. During my time at Curro, teachers were constantly arguing and spreading rumours about one another instead of focusing on teaching and admin etc Parents and teachers who care about the progression of your children , this school is not for you. 21st century skills in your foundation phase is not up to standard. A white board does not make a classroom 21st century. Get smart boards, please. Have a few tablets available in the classrooms and develop learners who are ready for future careers. Too few teachers working here genuinely care and are passionate.
