It is such a shame that such a beautiful school with such great facilities is being torn apart by bad teachers and management/heads. Although there is a handful of teachers that are worthy, the standard of most teachers are non-existent. We are given long forms and the children are given long talks about plagiarism but then you get teachers like Ms. Thabile Nkosi that copies and pastes her notes off the internet from Brackenham Primary School in Richards bay. Don't take my word go look at the children notebooks and google grade history notes term 2. Maybe they copied her notes, I don't know. Whatever the case, she can teach those notes and not leave the kids to self learn by writing summaries. Same goes for Ms. V. Naidoo. This is lazy teaching. We are paying Private school rates only to be given less that mediocre education. I tried speaking to the subject heads and grade heads but all I got in return was for my kids to be victimized. The heads seem to see a parents concerns as annoyance or whining. My younger child now bares the brunt of my concerns or "complaining" that I put forward for the elder one as the teachers seem to sick together like a gang. Both my children made the top 10 academically but after my meeting with the teachers and grade heads they both are now out of the top 10 and marks are borderline. The funny thing is when I get results back there are so many things that are marked wrong that are in fact correct. I see you Curro Wilheuwel and many others do as well. The Google review page highlights this schools track record which seems that it is of no concern as it is not being dealt with. There are government schools with better teaching models. We look on with amazement from the car park when head office is coming for inspection. The marimba drums are out. The flags are brightly put up but as soon as the inspection is done, remember the lights are on but nobody is home. Trying doing your inspections without notification. Look at learners books randomly not just the good ones. All children count not just the teachers pets. I am not going to deal with this further with Curro as I have done so already and my children are in a worst off position because I tried to voice concerns, mind you very humbly and respectfully but the teachers see everything as an attack. You can investigate further if you want as you have the information or not if you don't want.
