Curro, smoke and mirrors.
Our kids have been with Curro Durbanville for the last 11 years. Covid19 played a significant role in all our lives across the globe I'm sure, financially , it ruined many. My clients closing their businesses as a direct result of the pandemic impacted my business and employment status. Finding employment in my field is not easy especially in the offs**** oil and gas sector and falling behind on the school and bond account was torture, but I promised the school and the bank we would catch up on payments when I got in money from outstanding clients, and when I became employed again. I eventually found a job(Oct 2022) and wanted to work out a payment structure with the school to catch up the arrears and move on. The school did not want to accept our offer of 35k, plus school fees a month and de-registered our daughter end 2022. They demanded 50% of the outstanding before they would consider re-instating the account. Who has that amount of money when starting a new job taking into account there is also a bond that needed to be caught up, other outstanding accounts, taking from Paul to give to Peter scenario. I can carry on about other "complaints" about the school which is no secret, but they know how to sell you that pipe dream that many of us fell for. We move on, our daughter needs to get her education, somewhere out there is an education opportunity waiting, based on true values, beliefs, entegrity, equality so easily preached by Curro but not practiced.
