Curro NOT complying with the LAW

My son's father enrolled him at Curro without my knowledge as I am a primary caregiver. I made several phone calls and sent emails dating back from 18 Jan 2016 to Curro including arranging for an appointment for a meeting with the Principal. All this was in vain instead I was sent from pillar to post. The last lady that I spoke to informed me that Curro does not give out information to people who are not account holders. I informed her that I am the mother and primary caregiver to my son surely, in law, I am entitled to the records of my son held by the school. I even lodged an application in terms of the PAIA. Finally on 18 Feb 2016 the Principal phoned and wanted to know why I needed the application form. I was in disbelief to find the Head of a school asking a mother and primary caregiver that question. Furthermore as the Head of the school that is suppose to apply the provisions of PAIA she ought to know that the reasons for requesting the records are not relevant to the application. It became clear to me that Curro is a money making institution that gives preference and listens to people who are bringing in the money to the school. No written response has been received.
