Curro Midrand - All a money making scheme and completely unorganized

Absolutely disgusted with Curro Midrand, I have requested my deposit back and decided to look at other school options for daughter. The school is completely unorganized and their lack of urgency for anything is terrible.

Curro runs like a business and their only concern is getting money from parents so that they can earn interest on the funds sitting in their bank accounts.

This was the mail sent to the school, pointing out reasons for looking at other schools.

Please be advised that we have decided to look at other schooling options for my little girl , as I am not completely satisfied with the level of service received from Curro Midrand. Please see list of reasons below:

• I had not been advised of an open day (which was held in Aug), surely as a parent that has already paid a deposit and secured a spot for my child I would have been notified about this. • I am constantly mailing asking about the process going forward as I have not yet received a single mail advising what happens next, I have paid the deposit in March 2018 and to date I have no idea about orientation, stationary, uniform etc. its already October and I have no clue what to expect for next year, every time I mail I get a one liner email advising that orientation will be held at the end of term 4. Unfortunately that is most definitely not ideal, especially when preparing my little girl for grade 1. • I had also been charged interest on the deposit paid, it took a few months to get sorted as I had to constantly follow up and try and resolve. Every time I called I was told that someone will call me back, and this had not happened. It did eventually get sorted, but after a few months. • I have no idea what the fees for next year is, surely by now I would have been notified of this. • I just don’t get any feedback from the school with regards to anything for next year.

This definitely not an institution i would want anything to do with, if this is how you run your school.

How do i know that i can even afford the fees for next year, you guys put parents in a situation by only advising of the fees later in the year.

Jacolene from your branch tells me that they have to wait for Head Office to advise on fees for the next year. Its October for goodness sakes. Where do we get uniforms, stationary etc, what are the teachers like, i have no idea of these things, how can i put my child in a school that has no regard for kids or parents concerns.
