I app**** for my daughter at fairmont high school, there was a large amount of applications and was first not accepted due to the area we reside in. We wrote a letter of appeal to the school and that’s when the waiting game started. In the interim I had to make sure I had a back up plan. I app**** at meridian pinehurst and was told I had to pay a deposit of R910.00. This was paid to the school on 14/08/2019. On 21 October we received an email from fairmont to say my daughter was accepted. I immediately emailed meridian school and let them know. I asked if my deposit could be refunded, I was told it won’t be as it’s non-refundable. My daughter has not had any kind of introduction to the school in any way what so ever. I just feel this is ****************. I have given more than enough notice to the school.
