If anyone is considering sending their child/baby to Curro Castle Monaghan, Please reconsider.
My daughter started at the school on the 1st of September 2017, from then up until now, all we have experienced is endless issues. The staff really don’t treat their customers, with professionalism. Makes me question the teachers qualifications.
Our first incident was at the end of September when the school needed to debit my account. The debit didn’t run off my account for that month. It wasn't even a week later, when I asked my husband to inform the school. They promised they would run a debit order in the middle of the month. I fell ill and was in “isolation” for 7 days; in this time the debit order was supposed to go off. Upon my recovery I realize that the debit order didn’t go off. My husband went to the school to inquire what was going on, he was told that he ought to have the money in his bank account, so he must just pay it via EFT – So unprofessional. One wonders what an admin fee is all about. I logged a formal complaint, and I believe this matter was still handled unprofessional. I literally had to beg for an apology! Due to their incompetence, I had to pay double the school fees at the end of the month! Putting me in a serious financial position.
I also found another child's burb cloth in my daughters cot one and day, and they treated the matter as if I was been dramatic (that same week, my daughter and that child that I am making reference to, as sick with the flu.
We instruct the managing teacher of my daughters class, on how we want things done (feeding, bottles, bibs) ect. After examining the daily reports the school sends home, I realized that my daughter (6 months 3 weeks) sleeps about an 1hour and 30 minutes (on a good day) in a 8 hour day. My husband then asked the teaching assistant what’s going on, and she responded by tell him, that they leave her to cry in the cot. When we addressed this matter with the Managing class teacher, we were told the total opposite story. Makes one wonder doesn’t? Over and above that, we have complained with regards to the information been supp**** on the daily report card, they don't state how many s****s (porridge/purity) my daughter has eaten for breakfast and lunch. My husband gets told that there isn't time for that - well then i don't know why the school bothers with the daily report cards anyway!
My ultimate experience was this week Tuesday, whereby I go to collect my daughter to find this big brown mark on the cot sheet, by her face (looked like faeces to me). I immediately freak out, and ask the assisting teacher what’s going on – as the sheets ought to be changed every Monday morning. The worst part is, no one knows what the mark is and that it even existed. I get home, and message the class teacher, asking her to take a photo and send it to me, she advised that she has requested a teacher on duty to take the photo. I was told she would investigate. Wednesday comes and I hear nothing, I message asking where my photo is, the response is as follows: “the sheet is been washed, if you unhappy you can set a meeting up with myself or the Executive head, which leads to my next experience..
I proceed to phone the school, so that I could meet with the executive head, to find out what’s going on, as I find what happened hygienically unacceptable. After about 6 unanswered calls to the school, and 2 unanswered calls to the Executive head, I make contact with the regional head. I eventually get through to the school and get told they had an orientation day, and they were all involved hence why they couldn’t answer the phones. Now this is unacceptable. What if I was calling to inform the school that my daughter would be collected by a different family member, or if I had an account query? The school came to a standstill due to orientation, how ridiculous. Talk about professionalism. The school needs to worry about their existing customer as well.
Today is Thursday, all I have been told is that the sheet is washed... no one has given us feedback, not a call, not a message not a mail and obviously not my photo that I have been nagging for (after I was told, I would receive it), my husband agrees that they defiantly trying to hide something. question is, is my baby throwing up? Been fed in her cot? Not having her nappy changed in time??? I proceed to message the teacher telling her that she saw my husband at the school today, and could t have been bothered to engage with him. I said I would be posting this on Hello Peter, as perhaps then I will get feedback from the school. Can you believe how I magically receive a mail from the executive head at 7:30pm telling me not to send threatening messages to the teacher, and that we need to have a meeting? Clearly the school has their priority's wrong, as they worried about - so called threats - than addressing issues that arose on Tuesday.
All this school has been, is a let down!
