Newmarket Day Hospital - A disappointing post op experience

After reading many wonderful reviews I decided to schedule my op at Newmarket day hospital. While the reception staff and sister Olifant were nice, the post op staff were much less pleasant.

Not only did the nurse have a very dismissive demeanour, while resting, sister Judy kept coming to my bed every 15 minutes to ask if I was ready to get dressed. I was barely lucid and kept drifting in and out of sleep.

I had paid for everything upfront, and was under the impression that I had at max 6 hours of post op care…but I was out of there in about 3 hours post op at Judy’s constant behest, the anaesthesia hadn’t even worn off well enough.

Further to that, there was no manager on duty to attend to my concerns. I was quite saddened and disappointed at the ordeal, will likely never return to this facility again.
