Terrible attitude to customers

My bf and I went to Cubana after spending a lazy Saturday afternoon for dinner- and we were turned away as we were told he is wearing shorts. We drove back all the way to our place to change to formal pants- no issues there. Issue arises when after the bouncers tell us only when we come back that his sneakers aren't allowed! Why couldn't they tell us us that from the beginning when they told us about the pants. Then they further disrespect us by telling us we don't listen and pointing fingers and rudely shouting at us outside . The manager finally after hours of humiliation by their rude bouncers allowed us to go in. I was very disappointed with how management handled the matter as we were not even given a decent apology!
