DJ, aka, Daniel Johannes Dekker, at first glance, will seem like a very helpful and professional service provider; do not make the mistake of giving him money. He is a Professional con artist, plain and simple.

I initially enquired about the V8 conversions, to which I got very prompt responses and a quote which I accepted. I was a bit hesitant at first, but was informed that the last of the engines available was going to be sold if I did not secure it. So a 50% deposit was made on the engine. A few days later(15 May, 2022), I was contacted by DJ asking that I pay over another 25%, as he was in crisis(his GF was apparantly in hospital due to a collision and needed funds to pay the insurance); to which I did, seeing that it will go toward paying off the engine. By 20 May, 2022, I had paid the full amount for engine, received a receipt thereof and thus, ownership of the engine is in my name. At this point, there were some major concerns regarding the legitamacy of DJ and his 'business'. Details that I won't elaborate on, as it gives them an opportunity to clean up their **** even more.

Nonetheless, I asked to have the engine refunded as I needed the funds for an emergency. It was initially discussed that he had a buyer for it, but nothing came from that after waiting more than a week to realize that he is stalling this process. I kept pursuing the matter and was eventually told that the engine can be returned to the supplier(not sure why this was not his first suggestion, as it prompts the quickest result).

I was informed that, with this refund, a cancellation fee was to be paid, yet nowhere on CTRD or J-tech(the supposed engine supplier) was there any cancellation policy. However, this isn't an issue. All I want is to have the engine refunded, so that I can get my money back, but DJ refuses to do anything about.

At this point, I will be escalating the matter to the police.
