Shattered shower glass - Manufacturing fault

Purchased shower doors at CTM on 28/08/2024. As my dad held the doors in his hands ready to install, the glass shattered into tiny pieces without the glass touching or knocking anything. As the pieces landed on the floor , it continued to break into tiny pieces. This was not a scratch or a crack which could've been expected if the glass was knocked. But this glass shattered without touching anything else. My dad and helper could've seriously been injured. When approaching the staff and advising that it could've been a manufacturing fault. The staff said that any slight knock in the class will cause it to shatter. This does not make any sense that a glass meant for a shower could be that sensitive. They refused to reimburse and we had to purchase a brand new one. Utterly disappointed in the service as this was clearly a manufacturing defect on the glass.
