None Disclosure

<p>I recently moved to Klerksdorp I leased out a 2 bed house for a period of 6 months, when I leased the place the offered me lease periods before signing the contract of which I picked 6. An Alarm system was already installed in the house I contacted the company to come and help me activate it. A man called Jacque Roux came to assist me. He brought papers with him he assessed the sensors.after that he requested my personal details and asked me to fill in my banking details of which I did. Thereafter he then said I should sign he was rushing somewhere and he will complete the forms at work. I asked him how much will I pay he said he doesn't know. I asked him when will I receive a contract he said don't worry everything is done. He didn't ask me how long will I need to use the alarm he didn't tell me anything about the exclusions. He only told me that they offer paramedic help and then he said someone will come to fit the radio and test the system. In November I was informed that I will be relocating at work then I contacted my landlord/agent. And also contacted css that I will be moving to a different town. The person I spoke to said write a letter and send it to Alice in accounts and add the Agent's number too so they can contact her to find out if the new tenant would like to pick up my contract to my surprise I never signed a contract because I was told I was confirming my details both personal and banking. And that they take that document to the bank. Hence I was never given this so called contract as I have a right to receive a copy of my contract and given a certain period to read it and ensure that I want to take up the contract. I work with contracts every day and I thought I would receive a quotation with prices and then see if I can afford nothing of such was given to me how they determined the price I don't know. Because even Jacque himself didn't know. So I sent Alice an email she didn't respond a few days later I gave her a call to say I sent an email with a letter of cancelation. She was unavailable I left a message to ask for her to look into it a few minutes later I received a response saying: " I received your cancelation but it is a new contract there is going to be a penalty". Again the word contract came up I was surprised and asked what penalties are these because there was no disclosure about penalties I didn't know of such because no document was discussed nor did Jacque explain this. Then she said I signed a 36 months contract that to me this was news to my ears first of all I'm renting the place for just 6 MONTHS okay 6, why would I want an alarm to be active for 3 FULL YEARS in a place I wouldn't be staying in after 6 months. Then she said penalties will be calculated to about R11000+ I asked her for what because no one told me or discussed with me the months she said it's there on the contract you signed I asked again what contract .then she said I will forward it to you. I received the document to find that a 36 is on the page and a signature next to it I was shocked I called her to ask what is the minimum period she said 36-3 years I was in disbelief I work with contracts everyday I will not sign a contract for 3 years whereas one expires in 6 months and it's renewal is not guaranteed. I proceed to evaluate the contract because most of it was blank when Jacque came with it. I went to compare the signatures though not accurate all of them had the same strokes besides the one next to the 36, because if that 36 was discussed with me plus the penalties I wouldn't have signed it of which I didn't the signature seems to have been forged hence making it look like I signed it. Ever since then I have been trying to get hold of Alice they always say she stepped out leave your details she will contact you and she never returns my call. I reversed payment since I had canceled the contract, and being told that i will be blacklisted.</p>
