Unsolicited and Invasive Communication from Credit Solutions Services
This afternoon, I received an unsolicited SMS from Credit Solutions Services (CSS) stating: “You have not contacted CSS to set up a payment plan on your SARS account.”
Let me be clear: I have never had any dealings with this company, nor have I given them consent to contact me or access any of my personal or financial information.
The fact that they are referencing my SARS account — a highly sensitive and private matter — raises serious red flags about how they obtained this information and who gave them access to it.
I demand to know:
Where did you get my contact details from?
How are you aware of any aspect of my SARS account?
Who authorized this communication?
This is a serious invasion of privacy and a potential violation of POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act). I will be escalating this matter to the appropriate regulatory bodies, including the Information Regulator and possibly the Ombudsman, as this kind of conduct is unacceptable and deeply *********.
If CSS is operating within the bounds of the law, I expect a full and immediate explanation. If not, I trust the authorities will take the necessary steps to hold the responsible parties accountable.
Please accept our apology for any inconvenience and frustration caused.
Please be advised that this has been escalated to the relevant department for further assistance and someone will be in contact as soon as possible so that we can rectify this matter accordingly.
Kind Regards,
Customer Care Team
