Sorely Disappointed
My experience is that the front of house staff is great! They empathise well with us as users and understand urgency in our voices like when my managing agency threatened to cut off my electricity
However, I am sorely disappointed with the adjudicator. I see that there’s a copy and paste reply from CSOS to other reviews here stating that cases were reviewed based on their merit. This is not true for my case.
I lodged a dispute regarding a SHORTFALL I was unfairly made to pay. The adjudicator came back saying that the case was misconceived and that I should take up all matters of the EXCESS with the insurer. He did not read/understand my case!
I was baffled as the concepts of shortfall and excess are simple with vast distinction. I’m still in disbelief that a legal expert could not understand them. Furthermore, I explained in my submissions several times that the EXCESS had been paid without issue - why did he adjudicate on the excess and not the shortfall and stated?
The impression given is that my case was just another one to get through for the day and not read through, not even superficially. I’m not even upset that this did not go in my favour. I am upset regarding the standard of the service received and the competence of the officials from this experience. I am also a government worker and it cuts deeply when people do not give their best in their service. Unfortunately it isn’t unique to this situation
If you have the means and your issue really matters to you, skip CSOS, and get your own lawyer. This dispute has been going on over a year with me being the one attempting to resolve it with the managing agent unilaterally, I am worn out
So this is a warning to you to seek alternative means of dispute resolution through qualified and competent professionals who will really review your case and actually advise based on the case’s merits.
