CSOS DURBAN IMPARTIAL

Government creates jobs and deploy people to toothless oversight bodies like CSOS.

1. I referred case in February 2025. Despite many reminders there is no outcome yet or status updates. My complaint is setious and was about there being no Agm for three years in our complex, no accountability by trustees etc

2. In another referral I visited the office in Durban and was expecting engagement but a female merely informed me that I had a case and handed me the form.

3. I completed same and it's being going to and from and each time there is a new defect highlighted on the form.

4. I resubmitted after an official asked me to resubmit with the correct trustees information, etc.

5. I did so without amending anything else on the form. Now anothe lady merely wrote back saying I must align another new area. The other official had previously said nothing about this relief. I guess they are not skilled in problem solving

6. This Durban Office must practice batho pele principles and be impartial as I get the impression the staff are not serious and maybe pro managing agents.

Good day Smith Racan,

Thank you for your correspondence regarding your experience with the CSOS Durban office.

We acknowledge and regret the frustration caused by the delays and inconsistent communication related to your referrals. Your concerns regarding the lack of progress, shifting requirements, and perceived lack of professionalism have been noted and taken seriously.

Ms Renusha, a Senior Manager at our Durban Office, responded to your initial  email that you sent to  INFOMAIL  on 27 June 2025, addressing each of the issues raised. Her response outlines the status of your referrals, the procedural clarifications around your submissions, and steps being taken to support resolution of your matters.

We remain committed to upholding the Batho Pele Principles and assure you that your concerns have prompted internal review to ensure improved service delivery.

Should you require any further assistance or wish to follow up on the matters discussed, kindly liaise directly with Ms. Renusha or the Durban office.

Regards,
The CSOS

Best regards,
