Poor service/ incorrect information

<p>I took my vehicle to CRV AUTO in Randburg. I went to the garage to have a gearbox seal changed. When I requested a quote, for labour, the verbal quote was between R500 and R600 for labour, which was in my budget. Today I took the vehicle for the seal change, the owner was not there today, due to a function and his father was overseeing. During the day I asked how far they were, and was informed that spares were ordered and that they waited for delivery. It was about that time that I phoned the owner and was then informed that they had not ordered the parts yet, but was about to go and order them. We had a discussion about the discrepancy and was informed to be patient and that his father was old and that I shouldn't rush them. Needless to say, when the sms came through as to the cost of parts and labour, the price on labour went up to R1800. I questioned him about it and he told me via sms, that was the price for labour. Thereby completely upsetting my budget for the repair by more than R600. Had he told me this when I requested the quote, I would have used a different vehicle repair shop. As I had requested quotes from a different shops and was quoted less by them.</p>
