Be warned of CRS Auto Fairland 174 Smit st

On Tuesday, 24 March my Audi A3 started making a noise, in the enjin. My insurance towed my car (with confirmation on their completed form that there are no damages to the body of my car upon pick up and delivery) to Sean, Owner at CRS Auto in Fairland on Wednesday 25 March as Sean confirmed that he is a Audi/VW accredited workshop. On Friday, 27 March (lockdown day) Sean confirmed that we definitely need to replace the clutch as that is definitely the problem. I informed him that my clutch was replaced in August 2019, however he insisted that I buy a new clutch for replacement as he was sure it is the problem. A new clutch with a shim from the Audi dealership cost me R16 334.60 and Sean quoted me R4850 for the labour. As Sean being an "accredited" (I took his word for it) dealer charged me 50% less than the Audi dealer I decided I will let him continue with the repairs as he is affordable and I trusted he knew what he was doing. On 27 March another shim was short on the clutch, the Audi dealership was already closed and we had to wait for them to re-open after the lockdown in order for me get the other shim. Meanwhile my car have to stand until after lockdown. Sean asked me to pay him for his labour so long as he has to pay his workers and they worked on the car through the night. I paid him 50% of the labour he quoted. On Monday, 4 May I picked up the other ship at R60.00 from Audi and I delivered it to Sean, full of hope that I will be getting my car back soon. By Monday, 11 May I called Sean to follow up about my car as I have not heard from him since I took him the last shim on 4 May. His reply "still trying to get info on the problem as it is difficult to solve during lockdown". On 12 May Sean informed me that he found a guy that specializes on Audi DSG gearboxes and he (Sean) will have to remove the gearbox in order for this guy to have a look at it. (here I started smelling a rat already because if Sean is Audi/VW accredit, why need someone to sort out the gearbox, and what does the gearbox have in common with the clutch, however, I had no choice but to be patient. On 13 May, Sean informed me that my clutch was never the problem, it is the flywheel. Upon my question to him "are you saying that I paid almost R17 000.00 for a new clutch that was never the problem" he just said "unfortunately yes" (after I said to him in the beginning that my clutch was replaced in August). I was not impressed however thought I'd leave it for the moment as I just need my car to be sorted, will tackle the issue later. I asked him if he could buy the flywheel and I will pay him for the labour and the part once sorted, he refused. Thus at that stage as a single mother all my savings were depleted and I had to find a way to get the money for the flywheel as I cannot go without my car, it was just my luck that it was lockdown and I did not need it at that stage. I bought a new flywheel on 22 May for R9520.85 and took it to Seans' workshop. On 25 May I followed up after hearing nothing from Sean, he confirmed he is busy with the car. On 26 May he informed me he managed to get rid of the noise after replacing the flywheel, he only need the system to be synched with the clutch at the guy who originally found that it was actually the flywheel that was the problem. So now informs me that he have to take my car apart again as he needs to take out the gearbox again due to it not engaging into gears (and then he informed me that he was taking my car back and forth to this gearbox guy on a car trailer). On 2 June I followed up with Sean again as I still did not get my car back and he informed me that he damaged the clutch and will have to buy a new one for the gearbox guy to replace it. You can imagine by now I am way past concerned, I just want to lose it because obviously Sean is not knowing what he is doing and has been taking me for a ride since day 1. He apologized sincerely with sorry but mistakes happen. And that I can only give him half the money I still owe him for his labour which was now R1212.50 as I owed him R2425.00 after I paid the first half on 27 March. His mistake cost me R17000.00 and he is pulling up his shoulders. Then he even had the audacity to ask me a few days later when am I going to pay him his R2425.00 that I still owe him. I refused to give him an additional cent. I eventually got a call from the workshop who sorted out my car in the end. They provided me with a report stating that the clutch was never the problem, the new clutch was slammed in with incorrect tools which caused ****age to the new clutch, Sean then expected from them to have the clutch refurbished or put the old clutch back (after I bought a new one, the audacity). The workshop who fixed my car in the end insisted on Sean buying a new clutch as they refused to be ********* and they fitted it to my car. When I collected my car my back bumper has been ****aged on both sides (obviously got hurt when Sean drove up and down with it on his trailer). The damages of my bumper R4600.00. I have proof from my insurance that there was nothing wrong with my cars body when the tow track delivered it has they had to complete the delivery note. I tried to get a hold of Sean to ask how he is going to solve this issue and he has been ignoring me since 17 June, refusing to find a sollution and refusing to send me his so called "proof of being accredit" with Audi & Volkswagen. Does any one have any guidance for me on this? Do I see an attorney, do I just go to the Ombudsman, or how should I proceed with this matter. As the total cost of his negligence including my bumper is standing at R20 934.60. Which is not the kind of money I have to throw around. CRS Auto Tel: ***

I have both clutches as well as the flywheel in my possession in order to proof how the parts were damaged with the wrong tools.
