UNREASONABLE WITHHOLD OF MONIES DUE

<p>I collected application forms from Croydon House Pre-Primary in Fourways in May 2017 with the intention of enrolling my three year old son. I paid school fees of R2500, a deposit fee of R1000, a registration fee of R250, and an insurance fee of R70. A total of R3840, which I paid by EFT on 1st June 2017. On 8th June 2017, my son had not started yet, and I informed the school that he would no longer be starting due to unfortunate circumstances. I had not They informed me that they would refund all fees except the deposit fee. No refund was received that week. Nor the following week. I sent numerous emails but was informed by them that the refund would be sent soon. June ended. Still no refund. I called them numerous times in July. They assured me that the money would be sent to my account. Still no refund. No reply either to numerous phonecalls I made to them. It was only on 25 July 2017 that I received a refund of R2500 ONLY. When I called them, I was advised that the outstanding balance would reflect the next day as the refund had been split into two payments. No refund reflected the next day. No refund for the entire week that followed. My emails went unresponded to. I called them on 3rd August 2017, I was given the owner's number, a certain Portia. I called her and it went straight to voicemail. I have not received the outstanding balance till today: 07 August 2017. Despite having paid Croydon House over 2 months ago. I have spent plenty of airtime and data and have not even so much as received an apology or explanation from the owner: Portia. This is completely unacceptable. It's a blessing that my son ended up not attending Croydon House as their service is truly appalling. </p>
