The Cross trainer's return policy is against National Consumer Protection Act
I bought 2 pairs or tracksuits one for males and other one for female on the 15th of May 2020 costing R6200 at The Cross Trainer Menlyn and on the 16th of May I tried to return them because the sizes and design did not fit. I tried to explore options in the store but there was no stock and could not find any alternatives and when I asked for my money I was then informed that their policy is that they do not offer refunds (which is against the National Consumer Protection Act section 55 and 56). I however gave them an option to give me a voucher of R6200 to buy at any other Cross Trainer store and I was informed that their system does not allow for voucher that exceeds R5000 and I was not helped. Now I am forced to keep items that can't be used which breaches the country's laws.
I have currently lodged a formal complaint with the National Consumer Commission and I am looking for options report this to the media so that the retailer can amend their return policy to abide by the laws of the country.
