such bad service

As a regular customer of the Cross Trainer and in perticular I like going to the Cresta shop as the staff are so helpful and friendly. About 2 months ago I purchased a pair of soccer boots for my son for R2700. Today i took it back to the Cross Trainer in Cresta because the boot has a tear in it, surely for the cost of the boot one would expect it to last for at least a year. The boot had torn and I was told by the Cross Trainer (first Vikesh - regional manager) that they would have to send it back to the supplier to ascertain if this was factory damage or wear and tear. Oh and because I didn't have my slip this posed a new problem. I mean who actually keeps receipts for shoes. Apparently JP does - Director of Cross Trainer. <br> My son has a soccer match tomorrow and now will not be able to play because who knows when I will get an answer from Cross Trainer. But this was made clear to me that this was not there problem. Cross Trainer does not know that the act is very clear many retailers forget that being the client-facing element in the supply chain makes them responsible for damaged / faulty goods. Pls can i have a email address to send the act to you

Hello Desireepillay,

Hi Desiree,

As per my explanation to you this afternoon our exchange policy is very clear that in order to facilitate any type of exchanges a proof of purchase is required ,I then advised that even if you can advise us with the date of purchase or eft receipt we will go out of our way to ensure that we meet you half way as the customer .The date of purchase is critical in ascertaining the validate of the claim as it is the case on the CPA which we also use as a guideline .I do understand your frustration as you wanted the exchange to be done instantly ,however we have to abide by our own policy in making sure that all customers are treated fairly ,equally and with professionalism they deserve.Myself and Vikash have requested that you leave the boots in the store so that while you are gathering the requested info we at the same time be facilitating the inspection process to ensure that there is as little delay or inconvenience as possible .

You can forward your formal complaint to this email address :*** should you still not be content with my official feedback.
